==Economy== Around the time of the [[unification of Germany]] in 1871, the chief manufactures of Ansbach were [[woolens|woollen]], [[textiles|cotton]], and half-[[silk]] goods; [[earthenware]]; [[tobacco]]; [[cutlery]]; and [[playing cards]].
