==Legacy== In January 1983, ''[[Computer Entertainer|The Video Game Update]]'' awarded David Crane as the Designer of the Year for ''Pitfall!'' in their Awards of Excellence for 1982.{{sfn|The Video Game Update|1983|ref=excellence}} ''Pitfall!'' remained the game that Crane has been most associated with. In 2012, he stated that "I suppose that's not a bad problem to have, It's not a dark shadow. But I'm not just a classic gaming guy.
