An example of a controversial style founded through decadent literary influence is the novel, ''[[Lolita]]'', by [[Vladimir Nabokov]], a Russian-American citizen. ''Lolita'', while expressing the prose through a pedophile's narration, directly expresses Nabokov's discourse with decadent literature.
