===Road projects=== Investment in road projects ensures that the economy will be ably supported with a strong and ever-improving transport infrastructure and coordinated system. One such project is the introduction of the Parking Guidance System (PGS)<ref>{{cite web | url=http://app.lta.gov.sg/apps/news/page.aspx?c=2&id=1910 | title=LTA Launches Parking Guidance System in Marina Centre to Help Motorists Make Informed Decision on Parking Spaces | publisher=Land Transport Authority | date=24 March 2008 | access-date=26 September 2013 | url-status=dead | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130927223300/http://app.lta.gov.sg/apps/news/page.aspx?c=2&id=1910 | archive-date=27 September 2013 | df=dmy-all }}</ref> in the city<ref>{{cite web | url=http://app.lta.gov.sg/apps/news/page.aspx?c=2&id=2164 | title=Parking Guidance System Extended To Orchard Area | publisher=Land Transport Authority | date=3 August 2009 | access-date=26 September 2013 | url-status=dead | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130927223148/http://app.lta.gov.sg/apps/news/page.aspx?c=2&id=2164 | archive-date=27 September 2013 | df=dmy-all }}</ref> and [[HarbourFront]] area<ref>{{cite web | url=http://app.lta.gov.sg/apps/news/page.aspx?c=2&id=isypb2lkpn7ny54l3rw1o8xnq8h77ifl8q8507zkodqf237c48 | title=Parking Guidance System For HarbourFront Area | publisher=Land Transport Authority | date=18 September 2009 | access-date=26 September 2013 | url-status=dead | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130927223050/http://app.lta.gov.sg/apps/news/page.aspx?c=2&id=isypb2lkpn7ny54l3rw1o8xnq8h77ifl8q8507zkodqf237c48 | archive-date=27 September 2013 | df=dmy-all }}</ref> to guide drivers to the nearest parking facility with available parking spaces, reducing the need for vehicles to cruise around to find empty parking spaces. As part of investment in road projects, LTA will also be expanding the EMAS signages and upgrading the oldest [[Expressway Monitoring and Advisory System|EMAS]] signages in the expressways.<ref>{{cite web | url=http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onemotoring/en/on_the_roads/traffic_management/intelligent_transport_systems/emasys.html | title=Expressway Monitoring Advisory System (EMAS) | publisher=One.Motoring | access-date=27 September 2013 | archive-date=24 September 2013 | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130924203214/http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onemotoring/en/on_the_roads/traffic_management/intelligent_transport_systems/emasys.html | url-status=live }}</ref> To improve road safety, LTA implemented a variety of road engineering measures, such as adding pedestrian crossing lines with enhanced dash markings, traffic calming markings and "pedestrian crossing ahead" road markings in more locations in 2009. "Your Speed Signs", electronic signs displaying the speed of a passing vehicle, were also introduced so that motorists could be more aware of their speeds and would be more likely to keep to the speed limit. Road studs which flash in tandem with the green man signal at traffic junctions were also installed at more locations to alert motorists to stop for crossing pedestrians.<ref>{{cite web | url=http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onemotoring/en/on_the_roads/road_safety/your_speed_sign__yss.html | title=Your Speed Sign (YSS) | work=One.Motoring | access-date=27 September 2013 | archive-date=6 December 2013 | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20131206004522/http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onemotoring/en/on_the_roads/road_safety/your_speed_sign__yss.html | url-status=live }}</ref> LTA is not responsible for reminding vehicle owners to scan their Autopass card when exiting Singapore.<ref>{{Cite web |title=Malaysians Hit with RM10K Fine in Singapore by LTA Due to 'System Error,' Allegedly Claiming They Never Departed Since August |url=https://thepaperbreak.com/malaysians-hit-with-rm10k-fine-in-singapore-by-lta-due-to-system-error-allegedly-claiming-they-never-departed-since-august |access-date=2023-12-21 |website=The Paper Break |language=en}}</ref>
