I’m very fascinated by conversation and discussion" around the [[MeToo movement]].<ref>{{cite web|url= https://deadline.com/2020/08/the-morning-show-martin-short-emmys-apple-tv-plus-interview-news-1203015461/|title= Emmy Nominee Martin Short On Playing A Sexual Predator In 'The Morning Show': "You Can Get Into The Skin Of A Creep" – Q&A|website= [[Deadline Hollywood]]|date= September 2020|accessdate= June 22, 2024|archive-date= June 22, 2024|archive-url= https://web.archive.org/web/20240622234544/https://deadline.com/2020/08/the-morning-show-martin-short-emmys-apple-tv-plus-interview-news-1203015461/|url-status= live}}</ref> The performance earned Short a nomination for the [[Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series]].<ref>{{cite web|url= https://www.emmys.com/awards/nominees-winners/2020|title= Nominees / Winners 2020 Emmy Awards|website= [[Emmy Awards|Television Academy]]|accessdate= June 22, 2024|archive-date= November 8, 2020|archive-url= https://web.archive.org/web/20201108155418/https://www.emmys.com/awards/nominees-winners/2020|url-status= live}}</ref> He also appeared as a Leprechaun in another Apple TV+ series ''[[Schmigadoon!]]'' from 2021 to 2023.
