Lankester Harding & Enno Littman, Some Thamudic Inscriptions from the Hashimite Kingdom of the Jordan (Leiden, Netherlands โ 1952), p. 19, Inscription No. 112A</ref> Some related inscriptions contained personal names such as ''Makki'' ({{lang|ar|ู ููููู}}, "Makkan, of Makkah"), but Jawwad Ali from the [[University of Baghdad]] suggested that there's also a probability of a tribe named "Makkah".<ref>Jawwad Ali, The Detailed History of Arabs before Islam (1993), Vol. 4, p. 11</ref>
