===Bender 2000=== By 2000 Bender had entirely abandoned the Chari–Nile and Komuz branches. He also added Kunama back to the "Satellite–Core" group and simplified the subdivisions therein. He retracted the inclusion of [[Shabo language|Shabo]], stating that it could not yet be adequately classified but might prove to be Nilo-Saharan once sufficient research has been done.
