====Other uses of census====
The word ''census'', besides the conventional meaning of "valuation" of a person's estate, has other meaning in Rome; it could refer to: 
*the amount of a person's property (hence we read of ''census senatorius'', the estate of a senator; ''census equestris'', the estate of an [[Equites|eques]]).
*the lists of the censors.
