== Environment == Stilbite is a low-temperature [[Supergene (geology)|secondary]] hydrothermal mineral. It occurs in the [[Vesicular texture|amygdaloidal]] cavities of [[basalt]]ic [[volcanic rocks]], in [[andesite]]s, [[gneiss]] and [[Vein (geology)|hydrothermal veins]]. It also forms in [[Hot spring|hot springs deposits]], and as a cementing agent in some [[sandstones]] and [[Conglomerate (geology)|conglomerates]].<ref name=HOM/> Stilbite has not been found in sedimentary [[tuff]] deposits or deep-sea deposits.<ref name=ZW/> Associated minerals are other zeolites, [[prehnite]], [[calcite]] and [[quartz]].<ref name=HOM/>
