==Islam== {{Main|Tafsir|Esoteric interpretation of the Quran}} [[Tafsir|Tafsīr]] ({{langx|ar|تفسير}}, {{transliteration|ar|tafsīr}}, "interpretation") is the Arabic word for exegesis, commentary or explanation of the [[Qur'an]].<ref name=WDL1>{{cite web|title=al-Baydawi's "Anwar al-Tanzil wa Asrar al-Ta'wil" with Frontispiece|url=http://www.wdl.org/en/item/6803|publisher=[[World Digital Library]]|access-date=28 February 2013}}</ref> It explains those aspects of the Qur’an that cannot be known by reason and logic such as the context of the revelation or abrogation of a specific ''[[Āyah|ayah]]'' (verse).
