==== {{Anchor|Fat EFI binary}}Apple Fat EFI binary ==== In 2006, Apple switched from [[PowerPC]] to [[Intel]] CPUs, and replaced [[Open Firmware]] with [[Extensible Firmware Interface|EFI]]. However, by 2008, some of their Macs used 32-bit EFI and some used 64-bit EFI.
