Similar to UK regulations, the EU does not include "price gouging" explicitly in regulation.{{Citation needed|date=August 2024}} [[Article 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union]] is "aimed at preventing undertakings who hold a dominant position in a market from abusing that position." As stated, "such abuse may, in particular, consist in: (a) directly or indirectly imposing unfair purchase or selling prices or other unfair trading conditions..."
