=== SD (SDSC) === {{More citations needed|section|date=September 2023}} The original Secure Digital card, also known as Secure Digital Standard Capacity (SDSC), was developed as a second-generation successor to the [[MultiMediaCard]] (MMC) standard. While both formats continued to evolve, they diverged significantly in design and functionality.
