====Callaway controversy==== [[Mickey Callaway]], an Indians coach from 2013 to 2017, was accused of sexual harassment by five women. On March 2, 2021, a report from ''The Athletic'' indicated that Francona, alongside Cleveland president of baseball operations [[Chris Antonetti]], had known of Callaway's behavior. According to the report, an attorney representing the team offered to have Francona speak to an irate husband who had been repeatedly calling the club office to complain about Callaway's interactions with his wife. Although Francona was reportedly aware of Callaway's conduct with the woman, it was not clear that he knew about the attorney's suggestion. Callaway received a one-year ban from MLB while Francona received criticism from his son Nick, who stated that Terry Francona lied to him about the proceedings.<ref>{{cite web |last1=Lyons |first1=Matt |title=New report alleges Terry Francona, Chris Antonetti knew about Mickey Callaway's behavior |url=https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/new-report-alleges-terry-francona-chris-antonetti-knew-about-mickey-callaway-e2-80-99s-behavior/ar-BB1e9PcV |website=MSN |date=March 2, 2021|access-date=March 2, 2021}}</ref><ref>{{cite web | url=https://www.si.com/.amp/mlb/2021/03/02/nick-francona-cleveland-statement-mickey-callaway | title=Nick Francona Calls Out Terry Francona, Cleveland Organization for Handling of Callaway's Behavior | Sports Illustrated }}</ref>
