==History==
Denham was established in 1908 and incorporated in February 1939. Denham was named for an employee of the Soo Line Railroad. ==Geography==

County Roads 40, 46, and 52 are the main routes in the Denham area. Birch Creek is nearby.

Denham is eight miles west of [[Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota|Sturgeon Lake]]; and nine miles west-northwest of [[Willow River, Minnesota|Willow River]].

The boundary line between [[Pine County, Minnesota|Pine]] and [[Carlton County, Minnesota|Carlton]] counties is nearby. The boundary line between Pine and [[Aitkin County, Minnesota|Aitkin]] counties is also near Denham.

The [[population density]] was {{convert|26.5|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|1}}. There were 25 housing units at an average density of {{convert|18.9|/sqmi|/km2|1}}. The racial makeup of the city was 91.4% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]] and 8.6% from two or more races.

There were 15 households, of which 33.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.7% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 20.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.3% were non-families. 26.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.33 and the average family size was 2.70.

The median age in the city was 48.5 years. 22.9% of residents were under the age of 18; 8.5% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 11.4% were from 25 to 44; 42.8% were from 45 to 64; and 14.3% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 40.0% male and 60.0% female.

There were 23 housing units at an average density of {{convert|17.4|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]].

There were 16 households, out of which 37.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.0% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 6.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.3% were non-families. 31.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 18.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.50 and the average family size was 3.09.

In the city, the population was spread out, with 35.0% under the age of 18, 5.0% from 18 to 24, 22.5% from 25 to 44, 25.0% from 45 to 64, and 12.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females, there were 90.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 85.7 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $16,250, and the median income for a family was $40,625. Males had a median income of $0 versus $11,250 for females.
