The '''MacTutor History of Mathematics Archive''' is a website maintained by John J. O'Connor and [[Edmund F. Robertson]] and hosted by the [[University of St Andrews]] in [[Scotland]]. The History of Mathematics archive was an outgrowth of '''Mathematical MacTutor system''', a [[HyperCard]] database by the same authors,<ref>{{citation |url=https://umanitoba.ca/cm/vol3/no17/mathtutor.html |title=MacTutor History of Mathematics Archive|magazine=CM|publisher= Manitoba Library Association|volume=III|issue=17|date=25 April 1997 |archive-date=March 3, 2016 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160303204859/https://umanitoba.ca/cm/vol3/no17/mathtutor.html |url-status=dead }}</ref> which won them the European Academic Software award in 1994. In the same year, they founded their web site.
