It flows through [[Duffel]] and joins the river [[Dijle]] in [[Rumst]] to form the river Rupel. It flows in a western direction along the towns [[Geel]], [[Westerlo]] and [[Heist-op-den-Berg]] before joining the Kleine Nete in Lier.
