Green was the leader of [[Fleetwood Mac]] until 1970. He suffered a mental breakdown during the 1970s<ref>{{cite book | last = Celmins| first = Martin | title = Peter Green: Founder of Fleetwood Mac | year = 1995| publisher = Castle| page = 143| isbn = 1898141134 }}</ref> and was rehabilitated with the aid of [[Nigel Watson]], [[Cozy Powell]] and other friends. He subsequently began touring and recording with the Splinter Group and released a series of albums.
