Spring Hill is located northwest of the center of Marion County. It sits on a bluff rising {{convert|60|ft}} above the west bank of the [[White River (Indiana)|White River]]. It is {{convert|6|mi|0}} northwest of [[downtown Indianapolis]].

The racial makeup of the town was 78.6% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 17.3% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 1.0% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], and 3.1% from two or more races.

There were 55 households, of which 3.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.9% were [[Marriage|married couples]] living together, 3.6% had a female householder with no husband present, 1.8% had a male householder with no wife present, and 43.6% were non-families. 34.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 23.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.78 and the average family size was 2.19.

The average household size was 1.76 and the average family size was 2.21.
