As a youngster, Moore played for Romulus and Tame Valley Primary School. As a member of Aston Villa's youth academy, he was prohibited from appearing for his secondary school, Hodge Hill college, but nevertheless appeared in "a couple of cup games" for the school.<ref>Template:Cite news

Shortly after leaving Swansea City, Moore joined Turkish club Elazığspor on a free transfer on 24 August 2013, on a three-year contract and moving abroad for the first time in his career.<ref>Template:Cite news
