==Early life==
Georg Ludwig Ritter von Trapp was born in [[Zadar|Zara]] in the [[Kingdom of Dalmatia]], then a [[crown land]] of the [[Austria-Hungary|Austro-Hungarian Empire]] and now in [[Croatia]].
