And We blessed him ˹with honourable mention˺ among later generations: “Peace be upon Noah among all peoples.”</poem>|{{qref|37|75-79|c=y}}}} And also in [[Quran 3|3:33]], the Qur'an states: "Indeed, [[Allah]] chose [[Adam in Islam|Adam]], Noah, the family of [[Abraham in Islam|Abraham]], and the family of [[Amram#In_the_Quran|’Imrân]] above all people ˹of their time˺.<ref>{{qref|3|33|b=y}}</ref> ===Story=== According to the Qur'an, Noah was inspired by God like other prophets—such as [[Abraham in Islam|Ibrāhīm]] ([[Abraham]]), [[Ishmael in Islam|Ismā'īl]] ([[Ishmael]]), [[Isaac in Islam|Ishaq]] ([[Isaac]]), [[Jacob in Islam|Ya'qub]] ([[Jacob]]), [[Jesus in Islam|Isa]] ([[Jesus]]), [[Islamic view of Elijah|Ilyas]] ([[Elijah]]), [[Job in Islam|Ayyub]] ([[Job (Biblical figure)|Job]]), [[Islamic view of Aaron|Harun]] ([[Aaron]]), [[Jonah in Islam|Yunus]] ([[Jonah]]), [[David in Islam|Dawud]] ([[David]]) and [[Muhammad in Islam|Muhammad]]—and was a faithful messenger. Upon its completion, the ship is said to be loaded with pairs of every animal, and Noah's household,<ref>{{qref|11|35-41|b=y}}, {{Qtaf|en:ibk|11|40}}</ref> and a group of believers who did submit to God.
