Rockowitz's name was missing from multiple announcements made by Lee's sisters.<ref name="jaynestars 2023 q445" /> It was reported that towards the end of the funeral service on 31 July, Nancy suddenly became emotional when hugging a friend and was heard shouting repeatedly in Cantonese: "He took my sister away!" Carol, the eldest sister, was also heard shouting: "She's saying he caused my sister to die!"
